The Software Developers in Test will work on Automotive Professional Services project teams that integrate and deliver state-of-the-art software products to embedded platforms for major automotive and consumer electronics companies. You will be closely working together with our customers’ integration teams to help them include our client’s technologies into successful products in an efficient way. As a Software Developer in Test, you will be responsible for writing, troubleshooting, and maintaining an in-house automation framework based on Python scripting.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop automation test scripts in Python.
- Review product requirement, user experience specification, technical design specification for testability.
- Develop test strategies, test plans and test cases for specific projects
- Build and maintain requirement/test case/test result traceability matrix
- Maintain integration automation test for continuous integration
- Analyze test results along with failure analysis, utilizes fact / data driven metrics to continuously improve test efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure measurable improvement of product quality by identifying, developing and implementing innovative QA capabilities, strategies, approaches and services
- Develop, operate and maintain a highly automated Continuous Integration tool chain.
- Deploy and test speech software on embedded target platform
- Junior candidates: Participate in the enhancement of the test automation framework
- Intermediate candidates: Enhance test automation framework for support of new features and improve test efficiency
Years of Work Experience:
- Junior: 1-2 years of experience
- Intermediate: 3-5 years of experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
Required Skills:
- Very good programming skills and understanding of object-oriented concepts (C/C++, Java).
- Experience with Python is highly preferred for junior positions; required for intermediate positions.
- Previous QA experience with excellent analytical skills and experience trouble shooting complex systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong self-reliance
- Exceptional attention to detail, interpersonal communication and project management skills
- Excellent team player
- Self-motivated, responsible, accountable and have the discipline to bring projects into closure
Preferred Skills:
- Expert level familiarity with Wiki-based tools such as JIRA and Confluence to manage product planning and issue planning and resolution
- Experience with Jenkins
- Experience working in organizations using Agile/Scrum based product development methodologies is highly desirable
