To support cloud operations and ensure the efficient delivery of business services as well as the stability and availability of these services, we are looking for a multidisciplinary resource with experience in automation and deployment of application. Reporting to the Director of Technological Operations and Special Projects, the incumbent automates the deployment as well as the operationalization of the solutions. A key resource for ensuring high availability of applications, the deployment and automation specialist will be responsible for production start-ups and the operation of the succession plan. The person is called upon to work in close collaboration with the Development team and with the outsourcer who manages the on-premises infrastructure and the monitoring. 

Reponsibilities: 

  • Creation of environments: Cloud (PaaS, VM, etc.) and on-premise (VM, IIS).
  • Start production and pre-production (staging) solutions.
  • Work jointly with the Agile Development team to.
  • Ensure the quality of the packages received for deployment.
  • Ensure the operationalization of the application (content of RunBook, definition of monitoring points, content of KB, etc.).
  • Ensure coverage and relevance of monitoring.
  • Ensure the operation of the succession: creation, update and regular tests of the succession environment as well as the update of the succession plan.
  • Act as level 2 support in the event of an incident and execute the DR plan if necessary.
  • Creation and maintenance of deployment scripts, automate deployment by following architectural guidelines.
  • Any other task requested by the director or assistant director of the service. 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum a college diploma (D.E.C.) in computer science with experience or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT operations (systems administration, monitoring, alerting, incident resolution, etc.).
  • years + of professional experience with cloud platforms, such as Azure.
  • Good experience with scripting tools (eg PowerShell).
  • Able to work independently, but fits well in a team.
  • Very good learning abilityrigorous in his work and results-oriented. Able to work under pressure.
  • Very good analytical skills and skillful in identifying and solving problems.
  • Good knowledge of Windows Server, IIS as well as monitoring principles (infrastructure and application).
  • Understanding of high availability and determination to provide reliable and fault tolerant systems.
  • Knowledge of databases (eg SQL).

This work consists of 37.5 hours per week, spread as evenly as possible over 5 daysfrom Sunday to Saturday inclusive. The role may require specific interventions in the evening and on weekends.
